Our Communities programme in the greater Corsham area works with the community to tell the stories of residents and groups as well as significant local events and initiatives. As well as producing content for our digital video channel Corsham TV, we are building a team of community reporters who record podcasts with local people. A selection of these are posted here. For all our Corsham community podcasts please visit our SoundCloud page.

We also support the local community radio station, KIK Radio, to live stream council meetings and other events. We're always looking for ideas for new podcasts, as well as people interested in becoming volunteer community reporters, so do please get in touch.

We work with the Corsham Youth Council on a ‘vlogging’ project to encourage young people to produce their own videos to share their experiences of living in Corsham. We're developing a ‘Corsham Stories’ project with local partners to record the memories of older residents to preserve aspects of Corsham’s heritage. As these projects develop videos will be posted on this site.

The story of Corsham’s stone miners and masons has never been fully told and we are also working on a longer-term project to preserve and make available an archive of interviews, recorded in the 1970s, as one of the first stages of bringing partners together to develop a digital museum of Corsham’s past.

We have also filmed in Corsham’s only working underground quarry to share the experience of mining Corsham stone in the past, as well as with modern techniques.

Here is a selection of our recent community podcasts.
