Ci – Countering Violent Extremism podcast

How does online radicalisation lead to  violent extremism in the name of ideology? Our podcast series, Ci – Countering Violent Extremism(CVE), interviews government, community and religious leaders as well as academics and activists, to help us understand how violent extremism happens and what can be done to tackle it.

Hosted by Dr Charles Kriel, our podcast delivers the latest news, research and conversation from the global CVE community. Ci’s podcast is the only regular English-language podcast devoted to CVE and has been downloaded over 100,000 times, putting it in the top 5% of podcasts globally.

Governments, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), charities and news outlets spend more than £20bn annually on CVE and counter-radicalisation programmes, yet possess few effective means of measuring their impact. Ci is working on a project to explore whether technology solutions can help community organisations craft messages, micro-target audiences, and measure impact in the community.
