The UK aims to be one of the most secure places in the world to do business in cyber space. It needs a skilled workforce to do this, yet there are a growing number of cyber security job vacancies that organisations are struggling to fill.

We support adults with training programmes in cyber security so they can take advantage of these job vacancies and move into well-paid, highly skilled jobs.

We have been running a programme to train male and female military veterans in partnership with Salute My Job, a social enterprise, and IBM’s Corporate Citizen Programme since 2015.

We have already supported 218 veterans to transition into civilian employment through training on a range of IBM cyber security products. Our programme provides an introduction to the fundamentals of cyber security, technical training, a recognised certification, coaching and employment support.

You can see how this has benefited some of our current learners in the video below.

We have a 100% training completion rate and 85% of our learners have moved into employment after completing the training. We work with a wide range of organisations who are looking for new cyber talent and employ veterans from this programme.

We are actively seeking sponsors to scale this programme and offer training to women who are significantly underrepresented in the cyber security workforce.

Please get in touch if you would like to work with us via info@corshaminstitute.org

You can find out more about the programme in this blog post.

“It was really, really good! I highly recommend to anyone. The instructor was amazing. She made it really down to earth, really enjoyable to learn. The content and the whole course itself was pitched amazingly. It was just really interesting and was the best course I have done so far.” - Jasmine Eyers

“I was so surprised that there were free courses out there with such high caliber. The instructor's method of teaching was brilliant. There was a lot to take in but it was really good. It massively reignited my ambitions to go down the cybersecurity route." - Rebecca Thomas
