We believe innovation has the power to transform our National Health Service through patient-centredservices and digital technology.

We are proud to be part of the Diabetes Digital Coach (DDC) Test Bed, one of seven large-scale feasibility projects making up the NHS Test Bed Programme. It brings together three themes of national importance: diabetes; self-management; and digital behaviour-change interventions.

The DDC project is delivered by a consortium of partners and led by the West of England Academic Health Science Network (WEAHSN). Collectively, the consortium brings expertise in healthcare and life sciences innovation, enabling NHS innovation and adoption of new services , providing digital tools for diabetes self-management, platform development, analytics, alliance management and evaluation.

Our role is to advise on data governance for the project so it can enable people to share sensitive health data with confidence and trust that it will be protected.
